Seed Preparation
Use KR-020 Gatotkaca Hybrid Corn as the seed of choice. It is recommended to add fungicides containing active ingredients Dimethomorph + Pyraclostrobin and insecticides containing the active ingredient Thiamethoxam. This should ideally be done no more than one day before planting.
Planting
Recommended planting distance: 65cm x 20cm or 70cm x 20cm for 1 seed per hole. It is advisable to cover the planting hole with soil or manure.
Fertilization Schedule
0-7 Days After Planting (DAP): UREA 150kg/ha, NPK 200kg/ha
21-25 DAP: UREA 50kg/ha, NPK 300kg/ha
35-40 DAP: NPK 300kg/ha
Pest and Disease Control
Use fungicides at a dosage of 0.5-2ml per liter of water at 20 and 30 DAP to control leaf blight and improve crop quality. Apply insecticides at a dosage of 0.5-1ml per liter of water to combat corn silk caterpillars and thrips. Insecticide application should be done at 15 and 35 DAP.
Irrigation
Ensure the plants do not lack water during these stages:0-10 DAP
45-55 DAP (Flowering Stage)
70-80 DAP (Grain Filling Stage)
Avoid waterlogging, so proper drainage on the land should be ensured.
Harvesting
In lowland areas, corn can be harvested at 105-110 DAP. In highland areas, harvest at 115-120 DAP. Signs of harvest-ready corn include husks that have turned light brown and the presence of a black layer at the base of the kernels.
